The Targhee, Bamboo, and Silk blend combines the exceptional softness and resilience of Targhee wool with the smooth drape of bamboo and the subtle luster of silk. Made from 75% Targhee, 13% Bamboo, and 12% Silk, this custom blend is lofty, springy, and wonderfully soft, making it an excellent choice for spinning fine, next-to-skin yarns with a beautiful balance of bounce and sheen.
Targhee, often called the "American Merino," is prized for its fine-to-medium fibers, elasticity, and easy drafting, while bamboo contributes silky softness and fluid drape. Silk adds strength, durability, and a gentle natural shine without overwhelming the wool's character.
Each braid weighs approximately 4 oz and is ideal for hand spinning, felting, and other fiber arts, producing yarns that are soft, durable, and a pleasure to work with.
